Vesna Stanković is an experienced tech lawyer who holds a university degree in law (LL.B. Law, University of Ljubljana, 1995) and passed the Slovenian bar exam in 1998. She took part in the supplementary training programmes at the College of Law of England and Wales (UK) and IEDC School of Management (Slovenia).
Working for more than 20 years in the field of IT in the region and around the globe with multinational IT blue chips as well with technology start- ups has given Vesna a unique understanding of the technical and business sides of the IT industry. She has in depth knowledge of the underlying risks and the ability to negotiate complex IT legal contracts with customers usually warry of new technologies.
During her career, Vesna assisted several startups with commercializing of their intellectual property as well guiding them through a variety of life-cycle transactional events. Among others she worked as legal advisor in the process of merging Slovenian software lab Klika with Sportradar a global leader in leveraging the power of sports data and digital content and sale of second largest e -commerce in Slovenia Ideo Plus to United Group.
Vesna served as non -executive member of the board of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Republic in Slovenia in a period from 2012-2018. Between 2013 – 2016 Vesna served as member of the administrative board of the European Patent Organization and member of the administrative board of the EU Intellectual property office.
Due to her passionate interest in film Vesna has also provided legal assistance with structuring complex film production and financing agreements, among others for the feature film Houston we have a problem!
